Wanaka and Queenstown

Après cette superbe étape dans l'Otago nous sommes repartis vers le centre-sud de l'île sud où nous avons réussi enfin à trouver un logement dans un joli camping au bord du Lac Wanaka. Nous avions envie de nous poser un peu et avons donc réservé 3 nuits, mais malheureusement le temps n'était pas avec nous et nous n'avons pas pu en profiter comme nous aurions voulu. Pluie et froid - pas terrible. Mais nous avons q-même pu promener au bord du lac le 1er jour et admirer la vue du lac à Queenstown depuis la "Skyline" où nous avons fait de la luge d'été. Sympa !

After the superb stop in Otago we set off again, this time heading to the central-south of the South Island where we at last managed to find accommodation (I had been looking for a few days with no joy) in a lovely little campsite on the banks of Lake Wanaka. We wanted to take our time in this area so booked for 3 nights but unfortunately the weather was not on our side and we were unable to really make the most of it. Rain and cold, not the best. However we managed to take a pleasant walk on the lakeside on the first day, and admire the view of the lake in Queenstown from the "Skyline" where we went summer sledging. Good fun !
