Flaneries à Arequipa

Arequipa - ville super sympa du sud du Pérou entourée de volcans, autrement nommée la ville blanche d'après ses bâtiments datant de l'époque coloniale, faits de pierre blanche. Nous y avons séjourné avant et après notre expédition vers la Canyon de Colca dont je vous parlerai dans un prochain article.

Nous y avons flâné, profité de la douceur de vivre, admiré la magnifique Plaza de Armas, mangé dans un excellent resto tenu par un chef français (Ratatouille), visité le couvent de Santa Caterina - une véritable ville dans la ville avec ses rues, ses cours, ses places. Bref, une ville comme on les aime.

Arequipa - beautiful city in southern Peru, surrounded by volcanoes, otherwise called the white city after its colonial buildings built from local white stone. We stayed there before and after our trip to the Colca Canyon which I will tell you about in the next article.

We strolled through the city, soaked up the warm atmosphere, admired the amazing Plaza de Armas, ate in an excellent restaurant run by a Frenchman - Ratatouille, visited the colourful Santa Caterina convent, a city within the city with its streets, courtyards, and squares.
